MANCHESTER UNITED FANS HIT OUT AT JENAS

Manchester United fans have hit out at Jermaine Jenas for his comments on the Red Devils following their 4-0 victory over Swansea.

Jermaine Jenas decided to ignore all the positives from the match and instead focused more on the negatives from Manchester United’s performance, thereby baffling Red Devils fans.

Manchester United fans took to social media to question Jermaine Jenas’ Match of the Day analysis following their win over Swansea.

The Red Devils battered the Swans 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium, with Eric Baily, Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial all getting on the scoresheet.

But on Match of the Day, Jenas focused heavily on the negatives from United’s performance, claiming Jose Mourinho’s side lacked width, reports the Manchester Evening News.

United fans took to social media to question the pundit’s approach to a team that has scored ten times and is yet to concede over the first three Premier League fixtures.

“We all watched Manchester United last week – they were outstanding and played free flowing football,” Jenas said of the game on Match of the Day. The movement was there for all to see and the pattern of play was impressive too.

“I just thought today it wasn’t as easy as the scoreline suggested. Up until 80 mins it always felt [like] they would win even though Swansea caused them problems.

He was so critical of Manchester United’s style of play saying that it was great to see Mkhitaryan, Rashford and Lukaku at the central but they need to do it with Valencia and Blind as wide options.

He explained that Manchester United were trying too hard to exploit the center of the pitch when they could have made use of the full backs more often.
