QPR Still Hoping Jenas Could Heal Before Season Start


QPR midfielder Jermaine Jenas is currently nursing a long-term injury that could take more than six months to heal properly, but his club have not given up hope on the midfielder returning to action in the near future. The 31-year-old former England international has suffered several injuries over the course of his career. The latest is a cruciate ligament injury that is rumoured to have put him on the verge of announcing his retirement. Jenas was one of the key players for QPR in their promotion campaign last season. However, manager Harry Redknapp will not be able to rely upon the former Tottenham star in the first few months of the new season.

Spurs Scouts For New Manager


Tottenham sacked Tim Sherwood and now are on the lookout for a new coach with Frank de Boer and Mauricio Pochettino appearing to be genuine candidates on taking the hot seat of the club.

Rafael Benitez could be another option as the Spanish coach has experienced an impressive debut season with Napoli after being appointed as the manager of the Italian club on May 27 of 2013.

During the past 6 years, Tottenham has gone through 5 managers and even though Tim Sherwood consistently stated his desire to remain in charge of the squad, he was sacked after only 5 months since he had replaced Andre Villas-Boas.
