NEW CONTRACT HOPES


Former Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas has said that he is confident of securing a new contract at Loftus Road.

The QPR midfielder has largely been used as a substitute by manager Harry Redknapp, but he feels that the club will decide to keep him at the end of the season.

Jenas is one of the high earning players in the squad. It is expected that QPR may consider extending his contract only they are promoted to the Premier league because they will not be able to sustain his wages for long in the Championship.
